Hess anniversary





BECHTELSVILLE - Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Hess, 1687 County Line Road, were honored on their 55th wedding anniversary at a celebration hosted by their children at the Bowers Hotel, Bowers.

Mr. and Mrs. Hess are the parents of two sons, David Hess, husband of Brenda, of Barto; and Mark Hess, husband of Missy, of Boyertown.

Mrs. Hess, the former Arlene Wentzel, is a 1996 retiree of Boyertown Apparel where she was a sewing machine operator.

Her husband is a 2002 retiree of Boyertown Casket Co. where he was a handle installer, and Bally Block where he was a chop saw operator.

They were married on Aug. 9, 1958 at Hill Church in Boyertown by Pastor Lengel.

They have two grandchildren, Joshua Hess and Michele, wife of Joshua Letting.

Special friends in attendance at their celebration were Dwayne and Leann Eidle.

Jury anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. James D. Jury of Pottstown celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today, Sept. 23, 2013.

Cantwell-Quintangeli engagement





UPPER PROVIDENCE – The engagement of Rebecca Marie Cantwell of Upper Providence and Anthony Joseph Quintangeli of Limerick was announced by her parents, Cynthia and Kenneth Cantwell, 5 Leatherwood Drive, Upper Providence.

Ms. Cantwell is a 2009 graduate of Spring-Ford Area High School and a 2013 graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a bachelor of science degree in athletic training. She is an athletic trainer with Kinetic Physical Therapy, Chester Springs.

Her fiancé is the son of Barbara and Vincent Quintangeli, 194 Benner Road, Limerick. He is a 2008 graduate of Spring-Ford Area High School and a 2012 graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a bachelor of science degree in education. He is a teacher in the Centennial School District, Southampton.

An Aug. 2, 2014 wedding is planned at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, Schwenksville.

Keim-Kluk engagement





UPPER FREDERICK  - The engagement of Tiffany Keim and Adam Kluk, both of Upper Frederick, was announced by her parents, Robert and Bonnie Keim, 382 N. Hanover St., Pottstown.

Ms. Keim is a 2005 graduate of Pottstown High School. She is a project specialist with Almac Clinical Technologies, Souderton.

Her fiancé is the son of Lawrence and Karen Kluk, 1136 Perkiomenville Road, Upper Frederick. He is a 2005 graduate of Boyertown Area High School and a 2010 graduate of Berks Career and Technology Center with an HVAC certification.  He is an HVAC technician with Walter R. Dorn Estate Inc., Telford.

A June 14, 2014 wedding is planned at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown.

Pompella-Freas engagement





WHITE HAVEN – The engagement of Amy B. Pompella of White Haven and Daniel Freas of Wrightsville was announced by her parents, Stephen E. and Kim A. Pompella of White Haven.

Ms. Pompella is a 1999 graduate of Weatherly High School and attended Luzerne County Community College. She is employed as an administrative assistant.

Her fiancé is the son of Jacob and Lillian Freas of Limerick. He attended Upper Merion High School and is a dispatch manager for Sterling Limousine Service, Wrightstown.

A late fall wedding is planned.

Coupe-Grimm engagement





NEW MARKET, MD. – The engagement of Jacqueline Coupe and Kyle Grimm, both of New Market, Md., was announced by her parents, Ronald and Debra Coupe, West Goshen.

Ms. Coupe is a 2006 graduate of Bishop Shanahan High School, Downingtown, and a 2010 graduate of Elizabethtown College with a bachelor’s degree in music education. She is a K-2 music teacher at Middletown Primary School, Frederick, Md.

Her fiancé is the son of Kevin and Patti Grimm, 138 First Ave., Lower Pottsgrove. He is a 2006 graduate of Pottsgrove High School and a 2010 graduate of Elizabethtown College with a bachelor’s degree in music education. He is a K-5 music teacher at Urbana Elementary School, Frederick, Md.

A November 22, 2014 wedding is planned at The Inn at Leola Village, Lancaster.

Hillegass anniversary





NORTH PORT, FL. – Mr. and Mrs. Clarence (Babe) Hillegass, formerly of Pottstown, were honored on their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner with their children and grandson, followed by a trip to Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Utah, Yellowstone and Pennsylvania.

Mr. and Mrs. Hillegass are the parents of a daughter, Rhonda, wife of Garry Wunderlick of North Port, and a son, Lonnie, husband of Deborah Hillegass, of North Port.

Mrs. Joe Ann Hillegass is retired from Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. She is currently employed at Gulf Coast Urgent Care, Venice, Fl.

Her husband is retired and was self-employed as Babe’s Paint and Wallpaper in Pottstown.

They were married on August 30, 1963 at Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Boyertown, by the Rev. Harper Schneck.

They have one grandson, Cody MacAaron Hillegass.
