Carson-Cummins engagement





ROYERSFORD – The engagement of Rebecca Carson of Royersford and Aaron Cummins of Spring City was announced by her parents, Doug and Donna Carson of Royersford.

Ms. Carson is a 2009 graduate of Spring-Ford Area High School and a 2013 graduate of Messiah College with a degree in social work. She is an income maintenance case worker with Montgomery County.

Her fiancé is the son of Ed and Carol Cummins of Spring City. He is a 2010 graduate of Spring-Ford Area High School and attends Lebanon Valley College where he is pursuing a degree in English, secondary education.

An October 12, 2014 wedding is planned at Royersford Bible Fellowship Church.

Ball-Woodley wedding





LANGHORNE – Catherine Anne Ball, daughter of Cynthia and David Ball of Stratham, Ga., became the bride of David Earl Woodley Jr. of Langhorne in Bucks County Community Church, Langhorne.

The Rev. Kenneth Miller, pastor, officiated.

The bride is a graduate of Ball High School Academy, Stratham, Ga., and a 2010 graduate of Bob Jones University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse in the neo-natal unit at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

The bridegroom, son of Cynthia and David Woodley Sr. of Barto, is a graduate of  Boyertown Area High School and a 2009 graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University with a bachelor of science degree in Bible and theology. He is pastor of youth services and community counseling at Bucks County Community Church, Langhorne.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Gabrielle Griffin, maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lauren Ball, Victoria Ball, Megan Ball and Alexandra Ball, sisters of the bride; Dayna Lynn Woodley, sister of the bridegroom; and Rebekak Scadding, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Karissa Benjamin.

Benjamin Vaders served as best man. Ushers were Douglass Woodley and Daniel Woodley, brothers of the bridegroom; Jesse Moyer, Kevin Focht, Daniel O’Brien; and Michael Ball, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Elias Miles.

After a reception following the ceremony at the church, the newlyweds left on a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean Islands. They will reside in Bensalem.

Benfield-Kalejta wedding




POTTSTOWN – Abbey L. Benfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Benfield of Douglassville became the bride of Jonathan Kalejta of Boyertown in St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 223 Beech St.

The Rev. Joseph Maloney, pastor, officiated.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of St. Pius X High School and a 2010 graduate of St. Joseph’s University with a degree in math education. She is a mathematics teacher at Mother Teresa Regional Catholic School, King of Prussia.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kalejta of Boyertown, is a 2002 graduate of Boyerstown Area High School and a 2006 graduate of Elizabethtown College with a degree in English. He is an English teacher at Boyertown Junior High West.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was attended by her cousin, Tara Benfield, maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christine Wiend; Jaclyn Woehnker; Brooke Wolfgang; Caitlin Baldasano, cousin of the bride; Stephanie Kalejta, sister of the bridegroom; and Brigid Benfield, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Riley Kalejta, cousin of the bridegroom.

Edward Yergey, uncle of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Eric Houck, Matthew Woehnker, Bradley Eddinger, Bryan Torressani, Scott Beard and Tate Yergey, cousin of the bridegroom.

A reception was held at Columbia Station, Phoenixville. The couple will reside in Boyertown.

Orff-Kott engagement





 
AMITY – The engagement of Bryanna S. Orff and Andrew M. Kott, both of Amity, was announced by her parents, Christine and Joseph J. Orff Jr., 308 Russell Ave., Douglassville.

Ms. Orff is a 2008 graduate of Daniel Boone Area High School and a 2013 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree. She is a pediatric registered nurse at the Hershey Medical Center.

Her fiancé is the son of Kenneth and Cynthia Kott, 119 Yorkshire Drive, Douglassville. He is a 2005 graduate of Daniel Boone Area High School and a 2010 graduate of Temple University with a bachelor’s degree. He is a freelance landscape architect.

A Sept. 19, 2014 wedding is planned at Meredith Manor, Pottstown.

Knapp-Sands wedding




METAMORA, ILL. – Erin Elizabeth Knapp, daughter of Ron and Darleen Knapp of Bloomington, Ill. became the bride of Tyler Adam Sands at Metamora Fields, Metamora, Ill.

The Rev. Brent Pomeroy of First Christian Church, Bowling Green, Ohio, officiated.

Violinist Kamen  Petkov and soloist Trevor Sands, the bridegroom’s brother, provided music.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Freeport High School, a 2010 graduate of the University of Illinois with bachelor of science degrees in Spanish and chemistry, and a 2013 graduate of Southern Illinois University with a master of science degree in physician assistant studies. She is a physician assistant with Midwest ENT Consultants.

The bridegroom is the son of Dawne and Eric Von Czoernig of Perkiomenville, and Jeff and Sarah Sands of Lakewood Ranch, Fla. He is a 2008 graduate of Boyertown Area High School, a 2012 graduate of the University of Illinois with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology, and a 2013 graduate of the University of Illinois with a master of science degree in advertising. He is a marketing rotational apprentice with Dotomi Advertising, Chicago.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was attended by Niru Pradhan, maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christina Dracopoulos and Sarah Pauley. Flower girl was Taylor Knapp, the bride’s niece.

Sean Walgrave was best man. Ushers were Mike Roggeman, Jeff Etter and Matt Etter.

Greeter and guest book registrar was Hillary Sands, the bridegroom’s sister.

A reception was held at Metamora Fields.

The newlyweds will reside in Aurora, Ill.



Yates-Camacho engagement




JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The engagement of Melissa Yates and Joseph Camacho, both of Jersey City, N.J., was announced by her parents, Sharon Yates of Audubon, and James Yates of Spring City.

Ms. Yates is a 2004 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, a 2007 graduate of  Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Cook Honors College, with a bachelor of science degree in fashion merchandising, and a 2012 graduate of Eastern University School of Leadership and Development with a master’s degree in international development. She is a merchandiser with Toys R Us Corporate, Wayne, N.J., and an adjunct professor in the arts and design department at Montclair State University, Montclair, N.J.

Her fiancé is the son of Lillian Camacho, Colonia, N.J., and Jose Camacho, Howell, N.J. He is a 2001 graduate of Colonia High School and attended the School of Visual Arts, NYC. He is a telecom business manager with the Modern Group LTD, Bristol.

An April 2014 wedding at Grace Church Van Vorst, Jersey City, N.J., is planned.
