Katz-Frost engagement




SCHWENKSVILLE – Kara Leigh Katz of Schwenksville became engaged to Eric Frost of Gilbertsville on June 4.
Ms. Katz is the daughter of the late Karen Katz. She is a graduate of the Perkiomen Valley High School and is employed by Metropolitan Veterinary Associates.
Her fiancé is the son of Richard and Sue Frost. He is a graduate of Spring-Ford High School and is employed at Shannondell at Valley Forge.

Wilson-Halter wedding




DOUGLASSVILLE – Brooke Samantha Wilson, daughter of Scott and Jen Wilson, 12 Magnolia Court, Douglassville, became the bride of Nathaniel Robert Halter of Birdsboro in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 1312 Old Swede Road.

The Rev. Dr. Steven Simpson, pastor, officiated.

Organist Martha Sitler, violinist Josh Chubb, and soloist Jamie Menarde provided music.

Guest Book Registrars were Courtney Gabbett, cousin of the bride, and Carlie Chubb.

Greeters were Landon and Brayden Halter, brothers of the bridegroom.

Scripture Reader was Jim Hepner, grandfather of the bridegroom.

The bride is a 2014 graduate of Berks Christian School. She is a student at Penn State University Berks Campus.

The bridegroom, son of Brian and Michelle Halter of Birdsboro, is a 2013 graduate of Berks Christian School. He is a student at Liberty University and is the founder and owner of Halter Landscaping.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Nicole Wilson, maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Joy Gallie, Olivia Struve, Abigail Straub, Kayla Gabbett, cousin of the bride, and Kirsten Gabbett, cousin of the bride.

Travis Kohler served as best man. Groomsmen were Colin Halter, brother of the bridegroom who is home from the U.S. Army, Blake Morgan, Tyler Ruoss, Randy Tasker and Ethan Albright. Ushers were Brooks Jeffery IV, cousin of the bride, and John Holowko.

After a reception at Reading Country Club the newlyweds left on a wedding trip to St. Lucia. They will reside in Antietam.
